Anita Barone
A stage actress that is versatile and has mainly been cast in show-biz sitcoms TV, Anita Barone received her biggest break on the stage as the partner to Jeff Foxworthy on "The Jeff Foxworthy Show," which was a one-season show on ABC in 1995-96. Barone made her first performance on stage at the age of five in Detroit and was raised after her family moved away from St Louis. At age 23, Barone appeared in over 50 productions. Most of them were in regional and university theaters. The stage credits she played included Juliet as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Helen Keller in a re-imagining of "Monday after the Miracle" and also the role in the role of Agnes the young, tormented the nun from "Agnes of the Gods." She made her screen debut through a brief appearance on the screen in "The Rosary Murders" (1987), had a bit as a character in "Ricochet" (1991) and she was given a role as the lead actress in the indie romantic comedy "Just Friends" (1996). Barone was the first to get a notable Hollywood job as a part of Carol & Company (NBC, 1990-1991) which was a failed attempt to be a part of Carol Burnett in trying to revitalize the comedy sketch program. Barone was in "Wounded Heart" in 1995, an USA Network film. In the end, she returned to her daily sitcom routine, costarring with Michael Chiklis on "Daddio".
