Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother as was Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox was accepted into the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 70s, where she studied the flute piano and the harpsichord over three years. She survived on a student allowance and worked part-time to supplement her budget. Lennox, while studying in the Royal Academy of Music in London, was dissatisfied with her performance compared to that of her classmates. Then she began to consider other options. Lennox joined a group called Dragons Playground as the flute player in 1976. However she left before the band went on I.T.V.s talent competition New Faces. She sang lead in The Tourists (a British popband) from 1977 to 1980. There she made friends with Dave Stewart who would later join Eurythmics. Following that Lennox started working on her solo first album Diva which came out in 1992. It received lots of praise, both by critics as well as the general public. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth album as a solo artist was released in October 2014. The C.D. Lennox has picked her most favored blues, soul and jazz tracks. Lepidoptera, a collection four impromptu piano pieces was released by Lennox in May 2019. The E.P. The first single from her debut album, Now I'm Letting You go... is the perfect accompaniment to her work of art in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. Annie Lennox is a Scottish artist and singer born on December 25, 1954. The Tourists gained some minor notoriety for Dave Stewart's work during the 1970s. The group went on during the 80s, to become the popular duo Eurythmics. Lennox began her solo career in 1992 with the release of Diva with a number of successful tracks like Why and the song Walking On Broken Glass. Medusa the 1995 studio album that features covers of songs like No MoreILove Yous as well as A Whiter Shade of Pale. Six solo studio albums as well as a compilation album are to her credit.
